COVID-19 Update and Impacts on the City of Commerce, and City Council Directive(s) and/or Proclamation(s) of the Existence or Threat of Existence of a Local Emergency
Recommendation
The City Council will receive a staff report on COVID-19, and thereafter, consider issuing directives and/or adopting a Resolution Proclaiming the Existence or Threat of Existence of a Local Emergency to generally do the following:
(1) To adhere to federal, state, and county orders and directives as they relate to COVID-19; and/or
(2) Ensure the City’s eligibility to seek and receive available local, state and federal funding, assistance and resources to effectively respond to a local emergency as it relates to COVID-19; and/or
(3) Consistent with federal, state, county, and City of Commerce laws, ordinances, orders, directives, and resolutions, authorize the City Manager to execute directives, actions or agreements, or promulgate rules and regulations, for the immediate preservation of public health, safety, and welfare, and/or the preservation of property due to impacts of COVID-19, as deemed necessary.
