Award of Construction Contract to Calpromax Engineering, Inc. for the Washington Boulevard at Telegraph Road Right-Turn Lane Street Widening Project
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council consider adopting a resolution:
1. Approving Plans and Specifications for the Washington Boulevard at Telegraph Road Right-Turn Lane Street Widening Project (“Project”); and
2. Awarding a construction contract to Calpromax Engineering, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the amount of $236,982 for the total Base Bid Schedule amount, and
3. Authorizing up to 20% of the construction contract for construction contingency for unforeseen conditions; and
4. Authorizing up to 15% of the total construction contract and contingencies for Construction Management and Inspection Services, and material testing; and
5. Authorizing Construction Management and Inspection Services pursuant to City’s On-Call professional consulting services agreements.
